Field Guides: Insects
Explore the Cloud Forests
by Paul Beck
published by Silver Dolphin
This sixth book in the successful Field Guide series is presented as the “authentic”notebook of a 1920s naturalist on an expedition to the cloud forests of Central America. Inside are sketches and notes from his travels. Throughout the book, envelopes containing die-cut insect pieces are glued to the pages. The book contains eight envelopes so readers can build the eight insects investigated and described in the book. Attached to the inside back cover is a beautifully illustrated diorama of a cloud forest for readers to punch out and assemble as a backdrop for their models.
